I started ModernDayGypsies.com as a place to share my projects and progress, and also to showcase other folks living the #VanLife and #VehicleLife. I have been living full time in a 2003 Workhorse P42 Forward Control Stepvan
(say that 5 times fast!) since June of 2018. Her name is Vangelina, and she's the first van conversion I've ever done. She's a retired US Postal Van. I live and travel with my best bud Valiant, a 5 pound Pomeranian with a 50 pound attitude.
I made many mistakes and discoveries along the way constructing Vangi, and I will be sharing things I've learned and things I've done. But I want MDG to be more than just a blog about me. I want to share and highlight exceptional 'Modern Gypsy Wagons,' anything that has been repurposed as a home on the go. Whether choice or circumstance, living the nomad lifestyle has benefits and drawbacks. I want to know and share why people created their homes, how they did it, and highlight the fact that not having a house doesn't mean one is homeless. Home is simply a vessel to contain one's life, love, and laughter.
I also will be sharing some of my projects and passions, such as:
Van Life Exchange - A website and App I'm working on to let vehicle dwellers find help and help each other.
PositivityRocks.org - My pet project to spread positive messages and positive vibes into the universe.
Stay tuned as we build and grow. Send me a message through the Contact Us link above to get on the "Waitlist" to find out when I've actually posted content. Also, contact me if you have a unique vehicle or know someone who does, and want to see it highlighted on ModernDayGypsies.com.
I look forward to hearing from you.
